The Pennsylvania School Code requires that students receive a dental exam upon 1) original entry into school (kindergarten or first grade), 2) entering third grade, and 3) upon entry into the seventh grade. This exam must be completed within one year before the start of school. Any exam done after August 20, 2016 will meet the requirement for the 2017-2018 school year. Dental exam forms are sent home with sixth grade students in the fall and springto prepare for the required seventh grade exam.
Dental exams are due by August 25, 2017.
Dentists' schedules can fill up fast, so call now to for an appointment for your Seventh grade dental exam. Be sure to take along a copy of the dental exam form.
